Hi Sean. Thanks for flagging this book up and for the section quoted. I observe among some a welcome interest in Bonhoeffer as a 'heroic'figure an inspirational story (rightly) to be told, yet this admiration is sometimes divorced from a recognition of his committment to theological education and rigour. It seems to me that often underlying 'bad practice'is a lack of attention to 'clear theology' and that attention to the theological issues are not an ivory tower hindrance to pastoral leadership and practice but a good place to stand.
