Graham Ward as New Oxford Regius Professor of Theology

I hadn't picked this up until now, so this is just in case others hadn't heard.  Manchester's loss is Oxford's gain.

 

Regius Professor of Divinity announced

The Faculty is delighted to be able to announce that the Queen has approved the appointment of Professor Graham Ward as the next Regius Professor of Divinity. Graham Ward is currently Professor in Contextual Theology and Ethics at the University of Manchester. His books include Barth, Derrida and the Language of Theology; Cities of God; Christ and Culture; and God and Beauty. Professor Ward will take up the post in October 2012. He will also be a Canon of Christ Church.
