Mark Goodacre has picked up on a thread that considers candidates for the award of 'most boring book title'. He offers his own published PhD as a possible contender. I remember talking with Ed Sanders in the bar at BNTC years ago, and Sanders confessing to me that he thought that his book titles were unremittingly dull. Consider:
Paul and Palestinian Judaism: A Comparison of Patterns of Religion
Jesus and Judaism
Judaism: Practice and Belief (63 BCE - 66 CE)
He also told me that he wished that he had come up with William Countryman's title, Dirt, Greed and Sex.
