Hi Ingrid... when I do it, it is just me being arrogant and pompous, I clearly and obviously have no insecurities, self-esteem issues, or anxieties about anything.

He is also a newbie - I am sure a few verbal slappings from you will soon sort him out - you will have to pass over that mantle to another student for Baptist Time next year.

Just read the Eugene Peterson interview - fab! I'm at college being the 'student companion' to the possible newbies - could've cheerfully slapped one of them yesterday but maybe I'll suggest he reads this instead. (Perhaps you could answer this for me - when men are being pompous and arrogant are they just that or are they covering up insecurity and anxiety? (because of course you can speak for all men!))
